WELDING TECHNOLOGY

Our welding shop consists of two spatially separated workshops (the stainless steel welding department and the mild steel welding department).
There are eight welding workstations in each, all of which are equipped with precision welding tables, so that the most rational and effective welding is possible. Our certified welding specialists process with high precision all common materials, such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Certificates you will find here.

EDIS offers the following joining methods:
- TIG (tungsten inert gas welding)
- MAG (metal active gas welding)
- Orbital welding
- Spot welding
- Hard soldering
- Soft soldering

CNC LASER WELDING

The laser beam is focused by means of an optical system. The workpiece surface of the joint edge, i.e. the joint of the components to be welded, is located in the immediate vicinity of the focus of the optics (in the focal spot). The position of the focus relative to the workpiece surface (above or below) is an important welding parameter and also determines the weld penetration depth. The focal spot has typical diameters of a few tenths of a millimeter, which results in very high energy concentrations when the laser used has the typical power of a few kilowatts of laser power. Absorption of the laser power causes an extremely rapid rise in temperature on the workpiece surface above the melting temperature of metal, resulting in the formation of a melt. Due to the high cooling rate of the weld, it becomes very hard depending on the material and usually loses toughness
